    The Payroll Assistant is responsible for supporting the Payroll Team in the processing and maintenance of CrossFit, Inc.’s domestic and international payrolls.



    • Assist in processing the Company’s domestic and international payrolls in ADP Workforce Now by gathering and entering basic paydata changes as needed
    • Submit and monitor tax notices and payroll invoices to applicable parties (e.g., the Accounting team and ADP) to ensure payments are made in a timely manner
    • Assist in researching and resolving payroll discrepancies
    • Assist in monitoring company compliance with all applicable state, federal, and international payroll regulations and communicating potential issues and solutions accordingly
    • Aid in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (e.g., timecard data and approvals, liability, benefits eligibility, and salary history)
    • Assist with basic paydata reporting
    • Stay current with our payroll, accounting, and HR systems to support alignment within and between departments
    • Assist with internal and external audits, ranging from 401(k) safe harbor testing, workers compensation audits, system audits, and bi-weekly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations


    • Ability to maintain confidential information
    • Understand payroll and tax regulations across all 50 states
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Ability to build Excel reports utilizing intermediate to advanced equations
    • Communicate large amounts of data effectively based on intended audience
    • Excellent written and verbal communications
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team environment
    • Ability to think critically and analytically in order to produce quality and accurate work in a high-stress and high-volume environment


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience supporting a Payroll, Accounting, or HR function


    • Ability to operate phone, copier, printer, computer, and all other necessary office electronics
    • Ability to file documentation and physically carry up to 20 pounds
    • Flexibility to work a schedule according to payroll calendars and cycles both domestically and internationally
    • Flexibility to work nights and weekends to ensure payroll timelines are met as needed
